Our plan is specifically designed to manage the financial and professional risks associated with unpredictable skin responses and healing variations. We bridge the gap between technical execution and biological uncertainty.
03 COVERED CONDITIONS
- Significant pigment loss (over 60%) during initial healing.
- Unexpected healing responses (excluding allergic reactions).
- Asymmetry directly resulting from physiological swelling/skin rejection.
- Unintended color shifts due to iron oxide sensitivity or skin undertones.
05 Coverage Periods
Coverage begins immediately upon completion of the initial procedure and continues for the duration of the active plan (1-Year or 2-Year), based on what the client enrolled in and the artist selected.

Claim Review & Approval
Each claim is audited by a panel of industry veterans and clinical specialists to ensure technical accuracy and fair assessment.
06 How to Submit a Claim
Log in to your Member Portal and select 'Initiate Claim Request'. You will need to upload clear, high-resolution photos of the heeled result along with procedure documentation and signed post-care forms. Submissions take approximately 5-7 minutes via our optimized digital interface.

Resolution & Payouts
Approved claims are settled within 14 business days. Payments are distributed directly to providers for corrective work.
02 Eligibility Requirements
- Artist must be a certified PMU professional with active membership.
- Procedure must have been performed using approved equipment and pigments.
- Client must follow all mandatory pre-procedure and post-care protocols.
- Claim must be initiated within the designated coverage window.
04 NON-COVERED CONDITIONS
- Dissatisfaction based on subjective preferences or 'change of mind.'
- Infections resulting from poor client personal hygiene.
- Sun damage or exposure-related fading.
- Pre-existing allergic reactions documented in client history.

Provider Responsibilities
Providers must maintain active licensing and adhere to the PMU Assurance 'Gold Standard' hygiene and technical protocols.
10 Rules & Regulations
The PMU Assurance Plan™ operates under strict industry compliance frameworks. Plan benefits are non-transferable and are subject to verification of procedural integrity. Failure to disclose relevant medical contraindications or procedural deviations at the time of claim will result in immediate disqualification and potential review of membership status.

Provider Benchmarks
- Valid professional license and facility permit in their respective jurisdiction.
- Proof of specialized PMU education and high-level bloodborne pathogen certification.
- Compliance with the PMU Assurance Plan™ sterilization and post-care safety protocols.
- Consistent history of ethical practice and professional accountability.
Member Eligibility
- Enrollment in the plan prior to the commencement of the procedure.
- Full disclosure of medical history and pre-existing skin conditions.
- Commitment to following the technical post-care protocols provided.
- Procedures must be performed by an approved PMU Assurance Network Member.
Premium Plan: Premium Assurance™ (1-Year)
Designed for clients who want peace of mind and added protection for their results. Includes:
- Eligibility-based support for healing and retention concerns;
- Guidance on color and outcome issues;
- Access to PMU Assurance Approved providers for correction;
- Standard claim review and response.
Ideal for clients who want confidence in their results without overpaying. Price: $50.
Elite Assurance™ (2-Year Option)
Elite Assurance Our highest level of protection for clients who want full confidence and priority support. Includes:
- Priority claim review and faster response times;
- Expanded support for correction and outcome concerns;
- Access to top-tier PMU Assurance Approved providers;
- Enhanced resolution options when eligible.
Best for clients who want maximum peace of mind and premium support. Price: $75.
RESTRICTIONS & LIMITATIONS
COVERED CONDITIONS
Member benefits apply to persistent pigment loss, irregular borders, and color migration occurring within defined healing windows. Coverage includes technician-verified skin responses that fall outside standard healing expectations, ensuring professional corrective pathways.
NON-COVERED CONDITIONS
Eligibility excludes issues arising from failure to follow post-care protocols, pre-existing medical contraindications not disclosed, and general dissatisfaction with elective style choices. Physical trauma to the area during healing also voids coverage eligibility.
COVERAGE PERIODS
Policy protection initiates 6 weeks post-procedure and extends for a 12-month stabilization period. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of identifying a covered condition to ensure timely review and network provider assignment.

Providers must maintain strict sterilization and use only approved pigments. Membership status requires annual compliance training and peer reviews.

Our coverage specifically addresses the financial and corrective needs arising from unpredictable skin responses and healing outcomes that fall outside of standard technical application errors.
2. Eligibility Requirements
- Artist must be an active, approved member of the PMU Assurance Network™.
- Procedure must be performed in a licensed and compliant studio environment.
- Client must sign all required pre-procedure consent and medical history forms.
- Client must adhere to the standardized PMU Assurance Post-Care Protocols.
3. Covered Conditions
- Hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation resulting from physiological skin response.
- Unexpected pigment migration or 'blurring' despite correct depth application.
- Non-retention of pigment due to biological factors.
- Mild allergic reactions to approved, high-grade pigments.
4. Non-Covered Conditions
- Dissatisfaction with the chosen shape or color pre-approved during the mapping phase.
- Infections resulting from client neglect of post-care instructions.
- Procedures performed by non-network or unlicensed practitioners.
- Intentional damage or manipulation of the treated area during the healing phase.
5. Coverage Periods
Coverage begins immediately upon completion of the initial procedure and continues for the duration of the active plan (1-Year or 2-Year), based on what the client enrolled in and the artist selected.
6. How to Submit a Claim
Claims must be initiated through our encrypted Member Portal. Submissions require clear, high-resolution photography of the affected area, a copy of the procedure record, and a brief description of the healing anomaly observed. Prior to filing a claim, the original artist must be given the opportunity to correct, touch up, or otherwise attempt to rectify the procedure.
7. Claim Review & Approval
Every claim is reviewed by our Technical Advisory Board, consisting of Master Artists and Dermatological Consultants. Reviews are typically completed within 5-7 business days to ensure a timely resolution for both the artist and the client.
8. Resolution & Payouts
Approved claims may result in credits for corrective procedures by a Network Specialist, direct reimbursement for auxiliary healing supplies, or financial payouts as defined in the specific plan level selected at procedure onset.
9. Provider Responsibilities
Providers are responsible for maintaining accurate client records, ensuring all safety protocols are followed, and providing initial triage support for clients experiencing healing concerns before escalating to a formal claim.
10. Rules & Regulations
All plan terms are subject to local jurisdictional laws and industry-specific regulations. The PMU Assurance Plan™ reserves the right to audit procedure records and studio compliance to maintain the integrity of the Network's safety standards.
